The student of the Institute "Ramón Arcas" Hector Navarro García Lorca has achieved the silver medal at the International Olympiad of Geology, which was held in the Italian town of Modena.

Navarro Garcia was runner-up in the national phase, held last March in Madrid, competition that would have attended the II Olympiad after winning the Region of Murcia.

In the international phase, the pupil Lorca won the Silver Medal and was honored also for its capacity of coordination in research in an international team.

Hector Navarro was on the team who represented Spain, which also consisted of students from Zaragoza, Valencia and Santiago de Compostela (A Coruña).
