The University of Murcia has developed interactive games and workshops focused on the younger part of the activities scheduled for "Researchers' Night", held on Friday September 23 simultaneously in more than 200 cities in thirty European countries.
For this initiative, which aims to bring science and society research, the University of Murcia has developed educational experiments and easy to understand for younger participants, as well as workshops related to chemistry, taking advantage of the event commemorates in this issue the International Year of the discipline.
Other organized activities, which have been presented today at the FNAC store by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Excellence Campus educational institution, Juan María Vázquez, the drawing contest is aimed at children 6 to 14 years, with the they show how they perceive the scientific profession.
"The Researchers' Night", which will run from 18:00 in the courtyard of the Old Artillery Barracks Murcia, will include visits to the Aquarium and the Scientific Board of the University Museum, the live broadcast of a Radio scientific program and a concert by rock & roll.
The action is funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT)-Ministry of Education and Science and by the European Commission.
