A museum offers summer workshops, exhibitions, lectures and poetry for the months of June, July and August (23/06/2011)

Events take place in the museum of Science and Water, City, Ramón Gaya and Space Río_Caballerizas Mills

As usual in the summer, the city's museums are preparing a wide and varied range of activities for young and old can enjoy the culture in the summer.

Ramon Gaya Museum, the Museum of the City, the Museum of Science and Water and Space Río_Caballerizas Mills presented a total of 15 different activities to enjoy the museums during June, July and August.

In the Museo Ramón Gaya will be activities until September 10 and are as follows: Poems about Ramon Gaya and his work of such notable authors as Luis Cernuda, Juan Gil-Albert, Tomás Segovia, Jorge Guillén, Juan Manuel Bonet, José Bergamin, Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, Rosa Chacel, Andrew Trapiello ... up the exhibition "Poemas para Ramón Gaya 'will remain open at the Museum.

Permanent Collection.

In addition, you can see the Permanent Collection, which presents paintings by Ramón Gaya throughout his life and those who remain in the rooms devoted to Velazquez, Carppacio and landscape, and his friends Luis Garay, Pedro Flores, Christopher Hall, Joaquin, Darsie Japp, Tryon and John Wyndham Bonafe.

The Museum of Science and Water will be two workshops.

Children's workshops "The World, a great laboratory" for children aged 5-8 years. The first group will be Monday 4 to Friday 15 July and the second from Monday 18 to Friday July 29. Schedule will be Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 13:30 hours. and the number of beds, 15 per group. Regarding the third group, it will be held from Monday 1 to Friday August 5. The price is 12 euros and SERCOS number of seats 15 (the workshop is subject to an enrollment of at least 8 seats). Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 13:30 hours.

On the other hand is the workshop "The Science Channel" for children between 9 and 12 years of age.

The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 10:30 to 13:30 hours.

The City Museum has among its activities the following: Secrets of the Museum (Children's workshop) For the museum bringing children to the history of Murcia, stimulate creativity, encourage empathy group and improve your social skills peer group.

The workshops are aimed at children aged between 6 and 10 years, in groups of up to 20 participants.

They will last three days from 10 to 13h, may enroll in one of the following sessions:

First session: Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday June 30

Second session: Tuesday 5 Wednesday 6 and Thursday July 7

Third session: Tuesday 12, Wednesday 13 and Thursday July 14

Fourth Session: Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday July 21

Traditions vegetable garden at the Museum (Children's workshop).

Through the different pieces that show the museum, children can understand what life was like in Murcia in the past, a time when the basin and jug were indispensable elements in household furniture.

Reading Mills Río_Caballerizas space of art.

We begin this summer, a new project for reading and reflection, shared texts of contemporary art.

We will be accompanied by various specialists in the field we suggest different readings, which, like a get-together will help us track the current reality of art.

Our first guest will be Professor of Art History at the University of Murcia, Miguel Angel Hernandez Navarro.

-Doctor of Art History (2006), Extraordinary Doctoral Award from the University of Murcia.

BA in Art History (1999), Extraordinary Degree Award and National Award, University of Murcia.

- It has been a director and co-founder of CENDEAC (Centre for Documentation and Advanced Studies of Contemporary Art) in Murcia and Research Fellow at the Clark Art Institute (Williamstown, Massachusetts).

Writer and art critic, has contributed to magazines like EXITBOOK, Aut-Aut, Visual Studio, Debats or Revista de Occidente.

He has written numerous texts on contemporary art and visual culture.

- Target: Over 18 years, interested in contemporary art.

- The first meeting will be at 19 h.

Unearthing Aventuras.

Workshop introduction to archeology.

We begin to know what is archeology and trace our past.

As Indiana Jones, will appreciate the objects found, we can distinguish the vast amount of tools from different areas and different ages.
