Reconciling work and family life in the Innovative ciberaula (22/06/2011)

Titled "We were after school," the Department of Social Services offers a program of activities for children with fewer opportunities in neighborhoods and districts

The educational "We were after school," is a program of support for the reconciliation of family life and work of groups and fragile Leisure and Recreation for children with fewer opportunities in neighborhoods and districts of the scope Centers of Social Services, the Department dependent who runs María del Carmen Pelegrin.

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning said service contract program implementation in the municipal social services center city of Murcia, amounting to 19,250 euros.

This project is part of the agreement signed between the city of Murcia and La Caixa Foundation in order to implement the "Ciberaula" We were after school, which aims to provide resources and educational and leisure activities and the incorporation of communication technologies and information centers that can meet outside school hours to children from troubled families to reconcile work and family life.

Through knowledge of computer concepts, promote reading and education and leisure activities (watching movies, documentaries, games ,...) active-participatory aims to provide an integrated and know where you can explore, analyze, exchange and present information, while facilitating their access to essential tools in the present.

The project objectives are:

To provide a framework for comprehensive development of children in matters relating to the expansion of cultural horizons and proper use of leisure time.

To facilitate the integration of children, the social environment through educational and leisure activities outside school hours and vacation periods that are developed in the "Ciberaula."

Encourage the use of information technologies and communication from the computing resources.

The schedule of the "Ciberaula" will be Monday through Friday from 16 to 20 hours and on Saturdays from 10 to 13 hours.

In the holiday period of Christmas, Easter and spring festivals schedule will be adjusted according to schedule (mornings).

The ratio will be 1 / 10 (maximum 15 children per group).

The age of access to the classroom are: 6 to 16 years younger school (children from 3 to 5 years may enter the classroom with an adult tutor, only access to the area of ​​toy library).

Each user can stay in the classroom, regardless of the chosen activity, up to 2 hours.

?

The time for usage of computers will be one hour maximum per child and day.

?

From the Centre of Social Services provided an identification Card mandatory for access to ciberaula.

?

All children, to join the project, complete a registration regulation to be provided in the Municipal Social Services Center City of Murcia.

The classroom, the amount of activity taking place is 20,000 euros, is located in St. Pius X, on the premises of "The Innovator" and has a space for ciberaula, another at another library and toy library
