IU-Greens claim that the plan does not include Fuensanta educational and health facilities (17/06/2011)

Councillor IU-Greens in Murcia, Esther Herguedas, said today that the plan provides for the partial construction of some 1,300 homes on the slopes of La Fuensanta "shall not include any public facility with an educational, cultural or health."

Herguedas recalled that more than half the equipment in this plan will be private, since they are on the farm of La Cierva, owned by Caja Murcia, and the remaining 45 percent has been divided into two parcels that have located in the area adjacent to the South Coast.

"As stated in the partial plan, the location of these plots may have prevented sanitary, educational or cultural as a result of high levels of noise to be generated, which limits the uses of both the sports, public administrators, food market, religious, cemetery, defense and prisons. "

Therefore, the mayor explains, was built about 1,300 homes without giving the area of schools or health centers.

Thus, the impact of this partial plan will not only have cultural or scenic effects, but also negatively affect residents in the area, "which will have to absorb current with their limited equipment needs of the new neighbors."
