San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) opened yesterday at the Hotel Sol Galúa of the Manga del Mar Menor, the Summer School 2011, the Master in Cardiovascular Risk, a teaching initiative framed in the Official Interuniversity Master in Cardiovascular Risk (RCV), given jointly by the UCAM, the Universities of Salamanca and Valladolid.
The President of the Catholic University, José Luis Mendoza, opened the conference, accompanied by the Director of the Department of Cardiovascular Risk Catholic José Abellán German, by the expert in internal medicine at the Hospital de la Princesa (Madrid), Carmen Suárez, and the specialist from the Department of Internal Medicine, University Hospital of Salamanca, Ángel Sánchez Rodríguez.
The Director of the Department of Cardiovascular Risk and responsible UCAM Days, José Abellán Abellán, teachers explained that this initiative, eminently practical, with the participation of leading national experts in Cardiovascular Risk, Internal Medicine and Endocrinology from universities as the UCAM, Salamanca and Valladolid, and pointers to the Madrid hospital Gregorio Marañón, and Ramon y Cajal, Reina Sofía de Murcia, Carlos Haya, Malaga and Nephrology Service of Fundación Jiménez Díaz.
Abellán adds that the activity aims at providing the skills necessary to solve the problems of patients with cardiovascular risk in primary care and specialized secondary, detecting the disease since its inception and promoting preventive health habits among the population aimed at preventing such risks. "
