Professionals Health Science and Physical Education teachers make up the Course of the International University Campus Mar-Mare Nostrum "Practical aspects of exercise in the elderly" to be held from 27 to 29 June in Los Palaces.
The activity aims to offer practical insight for those involved in the health of older people to experience different activities and exercise programs that can be performed in health institutions, educational or entertainment purposes, and to establish the bases for the safe and healthy physical exercise in the elderly.
Activities for muscle conditioning in older people, preventive programs and recreational exercise in the aquatic environment, the benefits of exercise for older persons or the latest trends in research on physical exercise and the elderly will be among the topics to be addressed in the course.
The activity is directed by Ignacio Martínez González-Moro, Professor of Physiotherapy at the University of Murcia.
The course consists of 20 hours, and those who enroll in it shall be entitled to two free credits.
