One year, the City of Murcia organized for the month of July a total of 24 summer schools, of which 4 (El Carmen, Sangonera la Seca, Cobatillas and St. Pius X), is organized jointly with the Department of Health and Social Services.
These activities also have the cooperation of the departments of Environment and Urban Quality (with the support for all schools for instructors and experts in environmental education), Education and Youth (use of public schools) and Sport (use of swimming pools and sports pavilions).
In addition, a large group of municipal boards and district boards and associations.
The collaboration of the Department of Environment and Urban Quality also is to provide 578 hours of instructors, experts in environmental education.
In this year, the Summer Schools of the City of Murcia is proposed to celebrate the International Year of Chemistry and the International Year of Forests.
The activities will aim at achieving objectives such as:
1 .- To facilitate the implementation of alternative leisure activities in leisure time of children during the summer.
2 .- To promote technical training workshops and activities that can be applied later in the summer leisure.
3 .- Promote the gaming aspects, "have a good time" in the activities.
4 .- Enjoy the learning activities to perform simple experiments to evaluate our forests and preserve the environment
CONTENTS:
The most common contents of the Summer School program will include activities and workshops linked to the International Year of Chemistry and the International Year of Forests, organizing various activities related to these issues in all schools, particularly the following workshops :
ENVIRONMENT
Ecología urbana, reciclaje, aulas de naturaleza, murales, etc.
Simple experiments workshop
ARTS AND CRAFTS
El Bosque mediterráneo :pintura, murales,etc.
Workshops and performances.
DOCUMENTARY FILM
Visionado de documentales sobre la naturaleza
Terra Natura, Elche Ice Skating, Museum of Science and water, solar energy center, visitor center sierra mining Ricardo Codorniu, etc.
The ages of participants: born in the years from 1999 to 2004 in general.
The exceptions are listed in each brochure.
Undertaken: 4 to 22 July.
Schedule of activities: 10 to 13 hours from Monday to Friday.
Registration period: from 13 to 17 June.
Registration Hours: 17 to 21 hours, at each site.
