The Integral Vision University Hospital of the University of Murcia (Cuvier) has set a new distance learning system that consists of a camera and a computer adapted art and which achieves a more precise observation of the retina.
This project, known as "Cuvisión" and has been implemented in collaboration with the Department of New Technologies of Information and Applied Communications (ATIC), created to adapt teaching to the potential ones.
The system can adjust to different types of visual holdings, which are controlled by the teacher easily by using the touch screen.
Cuvisión can broadcast live images from scanning the patient, facilitating the active participation of students from the classroom itself the power they interact in real time and ask the teacher the questions submitted to them through IP telephony .
Students can also record and store the scans and clinical cases to be used later in more detail from anywhere, which facilitates theoretical and practical training.
The developed system can also connect to the live broadcast from anywhere with an Internet access device, and clinical sessions, examinations and classes can be recorded and edited for display in the classroom.
This project of the Integral Vision Clinic will be launched next academic year.
