Bernat Soria part in the Congress of Biophysics hosting the University of Murcia (01/06/2011)

Biophysical Society of Spain organized in the Social Center at the University of Murcia, Campus Espinardo, from 1 to 4 June, a Congress with the participation of leading European researchers, including former minister Bernat Soria.

The Spanish scientist provide informative session on Thursday in which he talks about diabetes and new therapies to combat this disease, to be held at 19:30 at the Culture Room Cajamurcia (Gran Via).

A conference on the structure of enzymes involved in cell signaling, given by Professor of the University of Cambridge Roger Williams will open the Congress, which will include a presentation by the professor at the University of Utrecht Antoinette Killian on membrane proteins and one on the effect of high pressure on the stability of the same, dictated by the Biophysical Society president of France, Catherine Royer, Montpellier, among others.

The president of the Association of European Societies of Biophysics, Alberto Diaspro, with a lecture on new techniques of microscopy, will close the meeting, which also contemplates in its program, the annual awards of the Spanish Society of Biophysics and intervention Manuela Pereira, president of the Portuguese Society of Biophysics.

The Congress will be opened today, March 1, the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, the Minister for Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marin, and the conference organizer, Professor, University of Murcia Juan Carmelo Gómez -Fernandez.

Will be at 18:30 pm in the University Community Centre.
