The National Police dismantled an organized group dedicated to the sexual exploitation of foreign citizens (31/05/2011)

Agents of the Police Headquarters of Murcia belonging to the Provincial Brigade Aliens and Borders, in collaboration with the Labour Inspectorate of Murcia, have carried out an operation that has resulted in the arrest of the five members of a criminal group, who are charged with criminal offenses related to prostitution and the rights of workers and the arrest of five others under the provisions of the Aliens Act.

The operation began late last year, before the evidence of sexual exploitation activities carried out in two hostess clubs located in Molina de Segura and Bacons Bridge respectively.

Investigations to identify the ringleader, a 47 year old male and Serbian nationality, who ran the clubs where he submitted to that holding dozens of foreign women.

After obtaining the necessary data had been impossible to determine which were the concurrent responsibilities in each of the members of the band last March carried out inspection of designated clubs.

In that act there was the arrest of four men, three Spanish nationals and one Italian, who played the roles of both managers and administrators and those who are charged with crimes related to prostitution and against the right of workers.

Along with the above, we proceeded to the arrest of five women, four of them from Paraguay and Brazil, under the Aliens Act.

Given that investigations had revealed that both clubs were operating under the same direction and that none of those arrested held a leadership position over others, the efforts of researchers focused on identifying and locating the most responsible for the facts investigated, as well as to gather evidence that can demonstrate their involvement in the crimes.

After several weeks of intense negotiations, the last on 17 May was the arrest of this, a 44 year old male and a citizen of Serbia who is accused of committing crimes related to prostitution and the rights of workers.
