90% of citizens consider that the serene help curb crime (26/05/2011)

Murcia serene turns four A report prepared by a consultant indicated that 80.4% of respondents think that this service contributes to the welfare of the residents

Serene in the municipality of Murcia celebrates its fourth anniversary with a day in which we explain the annual report for this service.

In the report by a consulting firm revealed that 90% of citizens think that the presence of Serene helps fight crime.

It is also contemplated that the residents in general (57.20%), seniors (38.10%), young (28.60%) and traders (23.30%) are the people who most value this service.

With regard to the views of citizens on Serene Murcia, most particularly appreciates that persons hired as watchmen belonging to groups with difficulties in accessing employment, that the service is free and the papal played.

The report was conducted on 636 surveys of residents of the municipality of Murcia in 2010.

Serene service was launched in April 2007 and has conducted performances 1,259,803, of which 801,159 (72.11%) are direct interventions.

The Serene cover six areas of the municipality, the district of Carmen and toes, which was introduced in 2007 and El Palmar Murcia Center (2008), Sucina (2009) and Vistabella (2011).

The workforce has evolved from 22 people, working in 2007 to 73 today.
