The average cost of Spanish cities of 43.53 euros per inhabitant per year, while the municipality is for 95.03 euros per inhabitant per year

The municipality of Murcia is a leader in investment in sport per inhabitant per year, according to a report published in the magazine 'Sports', which corresponds to the edition of April and May.

The study was carried out taking into account data from provincial capitals and municipalities with over 150,000 inhabitants, with the participation of 68 locations.

Murcia is Spain's fourth largest city with more investment in sport, allocating 95.03 euros per inhabitant per year, while the national average of 43.53 euros per inhabitant per year.

In the township the investment in sports is more than twice the national average, behind the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, and San Sebastian.

Cities like Madrid (41.07 euros per inhabitant per year), Barcelona (25.52 euros per inhabitant per year), Sevilla (46.89 euros per inhabitant per year), Valencia (70.68 euros per inhabitant per year) Bilbao (67.25 euros per inhabitant per year) and Alicante (18.35 euros per inhabitant per year) are well below Murcia.

In addition, Murcia is the municipality with the largest number of sports facilities by number of inhabitants according to a report published by the magazine Consumer Eroski, last year.

The study analyzed 18 provincial capitals.

The city of Murcia has 425 sports facilities, including sports halls are 32, 47 soccer fields, 18 swimming pools and 21 pools of summer.
