The government team at the University of Murcia, with the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, held a meeting with representatives of the Boards of Teaching and Research and Administration and Services, as well as committees, to inform on the financial position and cash flows of this institution.
During this meeting, held in the building of convalescence, the Vice Chancellor for Economic and Infrastructure, Professor Antonio Calvo-Flores, reported on the impact the situation is having on the daily life of the University and on new projects, which may have remained on schedule.
Similarly, Calvo-Flores referred to the austerity plan approved by the Governing Council of the University, which includes various measures to contain spending and reduce episodes of water, electricity, telephone and other services as well as closing buildings extended holidays such as Easter and summer.
Similarly, the plan includes as priorities the maintenance of jobs, while in regard to teacher policy is to consider distribution partners better care of educational needs.
