The Vice Chancellor for Economic and Infrastructure of the University of Murcia, Antonio Calvo-Flores, chaired the closing ceremony and awards ceremony for the First Course of a university specialist in Family Business Management, which enrolled a student group composed mainly of young leaders of these companies.
The course, organized by the Department of Family Business, directed by Professor Juan Monreal, and Amefmur (Murcia Association of Family Enterprises), has received contributions of experts and business professionals, who taught a practical concepts and techniques management, finance, taxation, labor or strategy.
On the other hand, the project of that chair "The success of family business: the relationship between business and family from the perspective of familiness" has been selected in the VI National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008 - 2011.
Over the next two years, a team of the Chair will investigate the interactions of family and business in family businesses in order to define "family business excellent."
Finally, tracking the annual meeting of the Family Business Chair introduced the report on activities carried out during 2010 in the areas of teaching, research and outreach.
