IU-Greens accused the regional and local governments to put "obstacles" to the file for the decentralization of El Palmar (28/04/2011)

The IU-Greens candidate for mayor of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, today showed their support for the claims of the association Proayuntamiento of El Palmar and criticized the "barriers" which, in his view, put the local and regional governments promote the record requesting the decentralization of the area.

Herguedas was speaking after a meeting with the IU-Greens candidate for president of the Region of Murcia, José Antonio Pujante, and number 2 in the municipal candidacy, José Ignacio Tornel, members of the association between which was its president, Diego Parra.

He recalled that IU-Greens adopted at a meeting held more than 15 years to support the decentralization of El Palmar, has said the government "trying to distort the popular will expressed by more than 50 percent," and that his training has advanced forward initiatives in the Regional Assembly on the matter.

For its part, Tornel has said that "it is clear that the PP is afraid every time the citizens groups are in place, always wanting to control everything, every movement."
