349 cleaning workers work during the Easter holidays in the routes of processions 16 (16/04/2011)

An increase of 80% compared to the usual service

The Department of street cleaning, waste collection and treatment and Cespa have prepared a special for Easter.

The objective of cleaning is to make the journey and the catchment areas of the processions are as soon as possible in optimum cleaning conditions for civic activity the following day.

To do this will intensify its services during these days to address the areas which provide greater influx of people and events, and the streets as part of the processional routes.

Specifically, during this time will be allocated to these services during Holy Week a total of 349 jobs, of which 156 are outstanding, representing an increase of 80% compared to the service department.

As for mechanical services, there will be a total of 75 vehicles for a total of 171 vehicles.

With this reinforcement is expected to achieve, as has happened in previous years, the maximum speed and efficiency when left clean the streets after the processions.

Cleanup crews will begin their work after the start of the procession, clearing the path that is done behind it.

Immediately after the last step of the procession and once clear the streets will continue to clean even more ways reinforced to ensure that jobs are finished and completely clean the streets as soon as possible.
