The City gets the voluntary evacuation of two settlements in Spanish Marina Avenue and Avenida Almirante Loaysa (08/04/2011)

The collaboration between local police, municipal services and Urbamusa Health has allowed about a hundred people living in subhuman conditions in two lots located at Avenida Almirante Avenida Marina Loaysa Spanish and voluntarily leave the settlements in municipal places they had occupied illegally.

Thus, this hundred, Romanian and Bulgarian nationals, took months living in shacks built on lots of these avenues (in the partial plans Zarandona 3.7 and 3.5) and, to the neighborhood complaints, the local police and health began to carry monitor the situation.

According to reports, given the lack of sanitation and water supply network and due to the large amount of accumulated garbage, these settlements pose a risk to public health it was necessary to eviction.

Following the conclusion this week of a commission composed of representatives of Planning, Urbamusa, Social Services, Local Police and Health agreed, by decree, give these immigrants within 48 hours to evacuate, time limit been met morning.

As has been shown the local police, all families have voluntarily abandoned plots, except for one family to do so on Sunday.

On this evening, Urbamusa, floor manager, is proceeding with the cleanup of sites.
