PSOE: "The PP left to die in the Municipal Councils" (03/04/2011)

The socialist mayor José Zapata claims that most of the Municipal Boards of districts and neighborhoods have already spent its budget for 2011 and are in the red due to the drastic reduction practiced by the local PP

Also, Zapata complains that the distribution of allocations to the boards is done at the whim of the council of Decentralization, Christopher Smith, according to his friendship with certain headman and to the detriment of most neighborhoods and districts

Councilman Jose Zapata PSOE proposed yesterday on full municipal increased allocation to municipal boards, this year, suffered a cut of more than 50 percent, when the municipal budget spending has been reduced only by 8 percent .

The budget of the Municipal Councils continues, "amounts to a meager 1.8% of the municipal budget, but is, moreover, that money is dealing with the waste with which they performed some headman, Friends of the councilman of Decentralization Christopher Smith, in previous years, so that in the vast majority of boards cut exceeds 70 percent.

In view of the comparison between the reduction in expenditure budget of the City, an 8 percent reduction compared to the municipal boards, "it is clear that the strategy is to install PP despondency among citizens and residents of this county , convinced that the worst will go to citizens and, therefore, to Murcia they will fare better electorally, "said Zapata.

Finally, the socialist mayor also claims that the PP voted yesterday against the publication of real time status of accounts of municipal boards on the municipal website and the bulletin boards of districts, as well as the establishment, know and publish the criteria used in making the budget allocation to municipal boards.
