The silhouettes of Mariano Ballester huertanos announce the Spring Festival 2011 (01/04/2011)

The festivities will be held from April 28 to May 2

It is less to begin the 2011 Spring Festival.

Councilman Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez, presented this morning, the Spring Festival lineup for 2011, Sewer work of artist Mariano Ballester.

The design in question represents the figures of a huertano and orchard with irregular outlines silhouetted against a background of red, green and blue that has been treated with the son of the painter, designer and artist Antonio Ballester.

As usual, have been printed a thousand copies that may be collected for free at the Tourist Office of the Plaza de la Catedral.

The Spring Festival will begin on Saturday, April 23, the Feast of Exaltation orchard which will take place at the Teatro Circo Cry coinciding with spring and official announcement of the Queens Garden, more and infant Damas 2011.

The festivities will last until Sunday 2 May.

Mariano Ballester Navarro was a pioneer in the field of art.

One of the founders of the New Bridge, which sought freedom from Murcia and Spanish painting that was made so far.

Ballester, in his research and experimentation, he created a language more expressive and direct, which was not subject to traditional rules used.

New Bridge Group.

Founded in 1960 along with Ceferino Moreno and Cesar Arias group New Bridge, which was an homage to German Expressionist group known as Die Brücke.

New Bridge comes with an intention of artistic renewal in introducing avant-garde and new experiences as a need to break with traditional Spanish art.

Since the sixties.

In 1963 he again received the Award Villacis and six years later Murcia City Award.

In 1977 he was appointed director of the Museo de la Huerta Sewer.
