Pedro Lopez presents his project for the municipality through a play and puppets (30/03/2011)

The PSOE candidate for Mayor of Murcia, Pedro López, today presented to the media the theatrical 'Do not disturb the driver', through which the socialist citizens explain their project to the municipality, rather than with traditional rallies and political events.

Lopez recalled that this initiative is a new concept based campaign in the vicinity and in proximity to the city.

"Since my election candidate I decided to do things differently to reconnect with the people, the policy should be on the side of citizens," he highlighted.

With this objective, Pedro López pointed out that starts this cultural entertainment show, "from a new perspective, counting things differently and criticism, but in an optimistic, we will move to the residents of our neighborhoods and districts on managing our balance sheet that is being done in our town for 16 years, and we will give them the opportunity to become active in our campaign. "

Lopez explained that chose the theater as an artistic discipline that has always been an effective tool for criticism and generate discussion among citizens.

Bus ride

The play takes place inside a tent that simulates a bus ride through the town of Murcia where different passengers (one young unemployed person, a mother in distress, an architect wanting to change things, a elderly with youthful spirit ...) discuss their daily problems with a tired driver (represented by a puppet who, after many years behind the wheel, and begins to have symptoms of fatigue and, in the end of the show, was replaced by Pedro Lopez himself to give the boost it needs in this bus that becomes a metaphor for what is now the municipality of Murcia.

Begins Friday

The tour of the show starts this Friday, April 1 at Boatmen and will continue for the rest of the territory until May.

It will play in the parishes and districts of the municipality, in the larger towns will be held during the weekends and will double function.

Moreover, apart from the different countries of the stage show, walking through every neighborhood and hamlet will become an opportunity to inform and dialogue with residents on the proposals of the PSOE to Murcia, and to collect all the suggestions of citizens.

To do this, through the campaign volunteers 'We all', will enable the tent as a meeting point throughout the day.
