The sixth path 'Discover Murcia and enjoy cycling' invites you to visit the Via Amable Murcia - Aljucer (30/03/2011)

Be held next Saturday from 10 to 14 hours

The Department of Environment and Urban Quality of the City of Murcia, through its Office of the Bicycle, invites Murcia on Saturday to know the Aljucer Murcia-Friendly Way.

This is the sixth program path 'Discover Murcia and enjoy cycling' offers greater visibility and enhance the use and enjoyment of this means of transport through conducting guided tours.

The route will take place next Saturday from 10 to 14 and free to participate must register by calling 968212518.

Via Amable Murcia - Aljucer is a stroll through the garden among orange and mulberry trees along the ditches traditional, old mansions and Baroque churches.

The route is as follows:

1.

From the Malecon, the road follows the route of the Via Amable 2 "Murcia-Aljucer" Manterola across the bridge and away from the city to Avenida Ciudad de Almería to reach Barriomar, where the railway crosses.

2.

In the Barrio del Progreso, the route goes slowly on rails in the garden (Ibáñez Tower Lane, Lane's Miñano, Track of the primers) to follow the path of the Acequia Mayor or Alquibla between crops.

3.

By Rail The Montoyas, the route crosses the town of Aljucer where you can watch old coats of arms in some walls, evidence of their ancestral heritage.

4.

The tour leaves behind this town on the Camino Viejo de Aljucer and Camino Viejo de San Ginés Reguerón until the next to the footbridge leading to El Palmar.

At this point, the route leaves the route of the Via Amable and continues through the lane until you reach Torre Piñana San Gines, where you will pause to regain strength.

In turn, the route will follow the Avenida de la Libertad y la Calle Fuensanta to the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, in the hamlet of Aljucer, where it meets Via Amable and follows the path until you reach the Garden Pier.

Wearing a helmet is recommended, as this inter-city roads.

In addition, participants should bring water and a small lunch.
