Councillor for IU-Greens in Murcia, Esther Herguedas, has filed a motion to the next plenary session by requesting the creation of a plan for the transfer of public land for housing by cooperative associations.
Herguedas has indicated that the city would be responsible and create channels to encourage the establishment of these cooperatives and make available such technical services Urbanism.
In his view, the protection of the council would ensure the functioning of "democratic" unions preventing the acquisition of more than one house per person and drawings ensuring "fair" when they are needed.
Also explained that this formula could be implemented in districts of its size, rural character and not suffer from a "very intense" urban pressures, can accommodate this housing policy
The transfer of land would also be a guarantee for the endorse cooperative loans for the purchase of building materials, as explained Herguedas, after proposing that the cooperative meet part of the costs with their own work.
