The deficit of local governments to debate next Monday (25/03/2011)

The conference will be opened at 9.30 am, try to propose alternatives to the current economic situation

Murcia City Council held next Monday, March 28, a day to propose alternatives to the economic situation to the councils are currently spending.

Titled "How to avoid the deficit of local governments," the conference will be opened at 9.30 pm and will feature three lectures and a round table in the hall of the City Hall Annex Building.

The Deputy Mayor of Finance, Joaquín Moya-Angeles, which has organized this conference in collaboration with José María Portillo Navarro University of Murcia, has been suggested that the status of municipalities has deteriorated in recent years and is result of the shortage of resources to address local public spending.

The aim of the day, says Moya-Angeler, is to put on the table some of the alternatives that can help change the current economic situation.

Professor of Applied Economics and Finance and Tax Law at the University of Alicante, Francisco Poveda Blanco will offer the conference: "Measures of adjustment in municipal spending policy."

11:30.

"Resources in Local Finance."

Conference Professor of Financial and Tax UPCT Peter Colao Marín.

12:30.

Roundtable with the title: "Closing the year 2010, deficit, debt and stability."

Chaired by the Deputy Mayor of Finance and will be attended by the speakers of the day and professor of the University and Murcia, María José Portillo.

13:30.

Conference Professor of Tax Law at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Pablo Chico Chamber.

The conference will be called "new tax under the Local Finance."
