The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accompanied by the Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, today visited the new Health Centre in Murcia Center, located in the suburb of San Juan, a center that will relieve the Health Center San Andrés and involve the transfer of the Primary Care Clinic Simon Garcia.
Thus, be positioned as a hub for the Basic Health Centre Murcia-promoting health care quality and economic efficiency.
The construction of this center was necessary because Basic Health Center Murcia includes, at present, a total of 21,371 health cards and of these, 2,110 were in people younger than 14 years.
This new infrastructure, located between the Calle Joaquin Costa and San Jose, is integrated within the Health Area VI Vega Media del Segura, so users will remain as a reference hospital in the Hospital General Universitario Morales Meseguer.
The Health Center is built on a plot of 537 square meters, with a six-storey building with a surface of 2,804 square meters and 2,252 meters square usable space comprising basement and five floors.
The center has 13 family medicine clinics, 11 nursing, one of Cures and extractions and other diagnostic techniques.
In addition, two consultations of Pediatrics, Nursing a Child and one of the Matron.
It will provide various services such as Family Planning, Minor Surgery or Home Care Nursing Medicine and disabled patients among others.
