Murcia field expands its sports with the opening of a new sports hall in the hamlet of Sucina, in addition to the recently opened in Los Martínez del Puerto, which is under construction in Lobosillo, and the improvements being made in Gaia and the Truyols, actions fostered by the Autonomous Community and the Municipality of the capital, with a combined investment of over two million euros.
The opening of the new sports infrastructure in Sucina was held this morning with the presence of the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, who witnessed the first football match held in this room, played between two teams in the locality.
Construction of the new flag of Sucina, which has seen a total investment of 604,724 euros, of which the Autonomous Community has contributed 503,732 euros, can provide this hamlet of basic sports equipment that can train in sports schools, teams federated associations and individuals.
The new pavilion has a great track with field of 1,106 square meters for different sports such as football, handball, basketball, etc..
In addition, we have built changing rooms, toilets, storage and additional rooms.
Other projects underway
The Ministry of the Presidency and government, through the Directorate General of Local Government, Institutional and External Relations, funded the construction of another sports pavilion in the town of Murcia, in Lobosillo, which involves an investment of 604,000 euros, plus the construction of an indoor track and Truyols Gea pavilion, other 216,000 euros of investment.
