Mayor awards the prizes of the contest 'Security Grows, "a campaign to prevent risks to 15,000 students.

This new edition of the competition was designed to convert pupils in Primary 5 of "experts" in safety and health.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, delivered this morning contest prizes Grows in Security, a campaign aimed at 15,000 students in 476 schools in the region.

Participants have learned to appreciate the risks of their environment and have attended lectures on falls, toxic chemicals, fire and explosion, asphyxiation or burns.

Murcia City Council and the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment has launched the celebration of this year's competition, whose first round was launched in 2004 and has already enabled us to reach more than 60,000 students.

It is a tool that aims to instill in students 10 to 11 years the need to assess the risks to health and safety in all walks of life, but particularly so in the environment in which operate.

Participating students have enjoyed the material, consisting of a CD with interactive games, a comic-wallet and card to draw.

The aim of the campaign is that prevention is taken into account as an asset and create a habit of preventive life from young, so that when they become workers or entrepreneurs and are rooted knowledge.

The fifteen school winners can compete with the same work in a second phase, this time regional, where they will compete with all boys and girls who have won the local phase of the contest sponsored by each of the municipalities in the region.
