The Executive Murcia 278,000 euros financed the work of social inclusion Columbares Association (20/03/2011)

The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration funded during the period 2007-2010, with 278,742 euros to the Association Columbares to run various projects of social inclusion.

On Friday, the director general of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs, John Brown, visited its premises in the village of Murcia Beniaján to know their work with immigrants, ethnic minorities and people at risk of social exclusion in the coastal south.

The main project of the association is called 'Youth 21', related to the development of personalized plans for labor and social inclusion of young people at risk of social exclusion.

For this purpose, had carried out individual career counseling, learning skills such as active job search, resume development and cover letter, developing or improving social skills and learning skills.

The objectives were, among others, to train youth in job training and practice to play the painter's craft, to carry out exploration activities and customized training business, and develop strategies for monitoring and individual and group support and coordination with the agents and environment resources.

Training includes knowledge of painting and decorating, computer, technical assistant early childhood education, food handling, literacy, social skills and hygiene in the workplace.

The recipients of the project were young men and women, aged between 16 and 30 years, unemployment or job security, at risk of social exclusion and recipients of Basic Income, Minimum Income Benefit Integration and Social Protection.
