More than 40,000 university faculty and staff of the UMU and UCAM may take the tram to the campus more secure and less time (16/03/2011)

More than 160,000 of the parishes Murcia enjoy the new transport to work, leisure or shopping in downtown Murcia.

The Mayor presents the beginning of the so-called "white march" that will allow trams driving without passengers during business hours.

Faster, more safely and without polluting the environment.

Of these three things will benefit about 40,000 university students, educators and administrative staff of the University of Murcia and Universidad Catolica San Antonio if they choose to use the tram to get around to the campus.

And not only that.

Murcia approximately 160,000 residents in districts can use this new transport system to work, leisure or shopping at the center of Murcia.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has participated this morning at the start of the so-called "white march", a time which will allow trams driving without passengers during business hours.

During this simulation, the units will travel the entire route tram line and stop at every stop during the set time, to continue pretending to be playing modes in the future.

The tram is an alternative for users and a firm commitment to public transport, clearly in line with the criteria of promoting sustainability in the urban environment.

Through the application of technological advances, the old trams have become a new means of transport with a high level of performance.

It is accessible, quiet, fast, regular, comfortable and environmentally friendly.
