The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning visited Assido facilities, a nonprofit organization that since 1981 is engaged in the Region of Murcia, treatment, support, care, training and integration of people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities from birth throughout all stages of their life.

Its main objective is to improve the quality of life of its members and their families.

This support is formalized through various cooperation agreements to carry out a Personal Project Independence in the Social.

In addition, Assido table is part of the Disability Working since its inception in 2003, participating in all events organized by the various committees put in place.

On the other hand, members of Assido-Murcia regularly use the Centers for Special Education and Occupational Centers

Today, Assido has four centers: three in Murcia capital dedicated to Early Childhood, Schooling Support and Training and Transition to Adult Life, and an accommodation for user training in independent living.

In the village of Casillas is located Occupational Center, whose lands were ceded by the city of Murcia.
