The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has participated this morning in the events organized to mark the patron saint of firefighters, San Juan de Dios.
The day started with a solemn celebration of Holy Eucharist in the Cathedral of Murcia and delivery of the fire department badges this year access to retirement.
The number of times the Fire Service has increased in recent years by 4.8% from the 4,345 interventions in 2004 to 4,553 reported last year.
The number of services performed, however, has experienced a decline in 2010 of 9% over the previous year.
This decline is widespread in different types of services.
Thus, under fire as salvage was reduced by 9%, 10% technical assistance and 8% for inspection and advice.
