The Mayor Chamber pushes the record to the Declaration of International Tourist Interest Easter in Murcia (08/03/2011)

The last step is to raise now the Ministry of Culture for final approval.

The City Council showed its support for the dossier in June 2009, an initiative of the mayor.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning the record, and closed, to the Declaration of International Tourist Interest Easter in Murcia, which will now be submitted to the Ministry of Culture for approval.

The event was attended by several members of the Superior City Council of Guilds, headed by its President, Antonio Ayuso, and members of the Committee which prepared the dossier.

The Mayor, who has expressed his hope that the Declaration is granted before Easter, recalled that the City Council joined in June 2009, the concrete application now.

The Governing Board of the Partido Popular approved the accession to this request, at the same time he offered all the support and collaboration with the Superior City Council of Guilds of Murcia for Easter receive this distinction.

Miguel Angel House has also said that the City Council and shows its clear and continued support for festivals and traditions celebrated in the City, which has resulted in recent years with the transfer of land and municipal and local grants the various institutions and associations that are responsible for organizing these activities.

It is interesting to note that the Mayor asked for and got the three political groups in the City Council approved a motion to promote the necessary procedures for obtaining the status of World Heritage for the Easter holiday in the city of Murcia.
