The municipality of Murcia already has the first school of triathlon (sport that involves swimming, cycling and running) that was launched by the technician in this discipline Esteban Sánchez Gálvez, and the participation of ten school different parts of the region of five to twelve years.
This initiative is sponsored by the Athletic Club and the company Mandarache SINGLHOGAR, and has the support of Triathlon in the Region of Murcia.
The main objectives of this school of triathlon are creating habits among schoolchildren to practice any sport, instill the realization of the discipline through theoretical and practical education and training is not pure and simple (procedure followed in the age adult) and to transmit values such as effort, camaraderie and concentration.
It also seeks the participation of its members in the various tests and specific triathlon competitions, Aquathlon and Duathlon for these future athletes have that experience and learn to pose competition strategies to analyze and modify them to achieve maximum performance, a system that will serve them well in their daily lives.
The schools that make up this school train three days a week, devoting two sessions to swim in an indoor pool and a day to practice with the bike and the run test through games and skills appropriate to their ages.
For now, these future athletes have a great motivation and a special interest in the sport in the region, although not widespread, has important links for adults and students and tests that typically include the national team or triathlon triathlete Javier Gomez Noya laureates as (double world champion, europe, etc..) and Ivan Raya (also world champion).
Several of the athletes from this school already have a track record despite his young age: Second and third place in the school league Mancha Valencian and Castilian triathlon, runner-up school league Duathlon Valencia and a third at Aquathlon Regional League Murcia.
Indeed, this Saturday afternoon three members of the first school in the municipality of Murcia Triathlon participate in the regional league duathlon for children, held in Fuente Alamo, where they will share experiences with Fernando Alarza, world champion junior triathlon 2010; Uxia Abuin, runners from Europe and duathlon world champion junior in 2010 and Vicente Hernandez, junior European champion in triathlon in 2010, among other members of the Spanish national junior and sub-23.
These athletes are concentrated in the Andalusian village of Pulpí and participate in the duathlon in Fuente Alamo.
