The Mayor, Miguel Angel House, emphasized this morning for the opening of the entrances to the future airport at Corvera, that the opening of the new infrastructure will underpin the progress and welfare of thousands of citizens throughout the municipality and, especially, those living in the districts closest to the airport.
Similarly, House has emphasized the creation of hundreds of jobs, which will boost the economy in these times of grave crisis.
On this issue, it is interesting to note that the City signed the January 21 agreement with the Regional Employment Service, which regulates the basis for training, guidance and mediation of workers who serve on the airfield.
Through various courses are selected about a thousand unemployed in job profiles that require the future airport.
Of these, 575 will be hired and the rest will be made available to the concessionaire, Aeromur, to meet future needs.
Mayor House has also affected the investment effort being made by the Regional Government, with its President, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, improving communications and infrastructure, which shows that commitments have been fulfilled thanks to the excellent relationship between the two administrations.
The new airport will allow the districts of the City of Murcia, and by extension the entire region, continue to improve its communications with the rest of Spain and Europe as well as providing a strong strategic impetus to the Municipality of Murcia.
