In progress outdoor wifi service in the districts of Sangonera la Seca, Boatmen, Cañada Hermosa and Javalí New (01/03/2011)

Rafael Gómez notes that the network extends to all villages and districts of the municipality

The Department of Quality and Modernization of the Administration, led by Rafael Gómez, has today launched the wifi service outdoors in the parishes of Boatmen, Cañadas Hermosa, Sangonera the New Javalí Seca.

This is Zone 1, which we'll be adding a total of eight areas, home to all districts of the municipality of Murcia.

In the municipality of Murcia there are over 200 Internet access points through wireless connection, where each antenna has a circular range of between 70 to 100 feet away.

The connection speed is, as establishing a National Commission of Telecommunications Market (1 / 2010 of June 15, 2010) of 256 kb per second, rising to 50 mb per second when it comes to web pages government, and published in the Official Gazette on Monday, August 9, 2010.

A wifi connection in these districts can be accessed at the following locations:

- Boatmen: inmediciaciones in municipal office.

- Cañada Hermosa: In and around City Hall.

- Sangonera la Seca: In the municipal environment office, located at Avenida Pablo Iglesias, number 12.

- Javalí New: Muncipal Office, located in the Plaza de la Ermita.

The creation and expansion of the wireless areas in open spaces in the municipality of Murcia is becoming one of the objectives and efforts of the Department of Quality and Modernization of the Administration, directed by Rafael Gomez, who stresses that it is more wifi network extensive currently existing in Spain and is a bet that determined by technology and the public.

Besides the internet, these antennas located in the entire city of Murcia allowed to take action as important as control of irrigation in parks and gardens, lighting control and photovoltaic panels, among other systems.
