The Department directed by María Dolores Sánchez announces grants to promote youth participation Last year 67 grants were awarded
The Department of Youth and Employment, headed María Dolores Sánchez, announces grants for partnerships with young people engaged to carry out their projects.
The main objective is to promote general social activities that encourage youth participation and integration in society, promoting the functioning of associations and groups of young people and support the cultural, social, educational, leisure and to encourage volunteerism and civic participation of young citizens, in their own associations as active social life.
Last year 67 grants were awarded.
The Governing Board has given approval to the bases of the call for grants for the promotion of youth participation in the municipality during 2011.
The City Council allocated 110,000 euros to this initiative.
The associations will present their projects for activities that the municipality's population aged between 8 and 35 years.
The entities that are not specifically youth may only submit applications for financing for those initiatives that are directed to this sector of the population.
Organisations interested in this call will then have to present their projects 30 days from the date of publication of the call for subsidies in the BORM.
The Department of Education and Youth, directed by María Dolores Sánchez, subsidize socio-cultural activities, leisure, culture-related and youth creativity, training and advisory activities, operation and management of youth organizations, actions aimed the promotion of voluntary public interest, initiatives that promote social inclusion and integration of young immigrants in the municipality youth associations and youth participation activities in general and to promote gender equality as a value and prevent violence gender.
