Councilman Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez, yesterday visited the Bacons Bridge Cultural Center to see first hand the work that the School of Music in the hamlet.
Gomez praised the work done by this school which formed around 50 students this year in the fields of musical language, plectrum instruments, guitar and piano.
The aim of the school, among others, is to spread the plectrum instruments, specifically the Neapolitan mandolin and mandolin.
This specialty instruments pick is the standard of this school as it is of the few in the region in providing it.
In addition, the council stressed the importance of this school, which now has thirteen years of life in which they are trained about 800 people to the hamlet of Bacons Bridge because its members provide, at different times of year concerts in the church and gardens of this hamlet, in addition to participating in the festivities and municipal Festival A whole band.
Gomez wanted to emphasize that "many of the current teachers in the specialty of barbed instruments at the regional level were students in this school."
