University of Murcia has placed sixth in Spain, according to the ranking produced by the Cybermetrics Lab, which analyzes a total of twelve thousand higher education institutions worldwide.

Ahead of the university of Murcia only include Complutense de Madrid, the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Catalonia and the universities of Seville and Granada.

Globally, the University of Murcia has risen from 286 since it occupied in 2010 to 257 in 2011.

Continuing gap between American and European universities and Asians, as only 59 European institutions are listed among the top hundred, including ten in the UK.

Within Europe, the University of Murcia is placed on the number 86 in this ranking, to analyze all the universities in the world, warns that any Spanish appears in the top hundred.
