The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, inaugurated the First National Congress of Students of Veterinary Science, which for today and tomorrow, 19, meets in the auditorium of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine over a hundred new graduates and students in their final year of this degree.
After the opening ceremony was held a lecture by a professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a doctorate honoris causa from the University of Murcia, José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaino, who spoke on animal veterinarian in the environment.
This afternoon, from 17:00 hours, the professor of the University of Santiago de Compostela Antonio González will speak about the surgery in newborn calves, while tomorrow's teacher Autonoma de Barcelona Santiago Lavin and CEO Forum Interalimentario, Ignacio Arranz, will offer presentations on wildlife management and management in the food industry, respectively.
The conference, organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to promote research and dissemination of results among future professionals, including submissions from participating students from universities in Spain.
