The Government delegate visits the new Centro Cultural de Guadalupe (17/02/2011)

The work is being funded by the Plan E with an investment of 1.3 billion euros

Murcia has received 11 million euros to finance the construction and improvement of 12 social and cultural centers in the municipality

The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, visited the construction of the new Municipal Cultural Center of Guadalupe in Murcia.

The construction of this new building is being financed entirely by the Government of Spain thanks to the E Plan 2010 with an investment of 1,384,663 euros and creating 50 jobs.

The works are being carried out in two different modules, one for use as an auditorium and multipurpose room, which house the stage and stalls, and the other for the School of Music.

The latter will have five classrooms soundproof.

Also the building will have an outdoor side stage.

The new center will have a floor space of 1021 square meters, of which the room and multipurpose auditorium will have a dimension of 564 meters, while the music school will have a total of 308 meters.

In addition, another 147 square meters will serve as the lobby and exhibition hall.

Moreover, the auditorium will seat 300 people and has a removable stage, in addition to classrooms designed for musical training, as well as other areas such as workshops, classrooms and offices.

Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the investment of the Government of Spain also fully financed by the equipment of this new center.

The delegate also pointed out that the State Fund 2010 is financed in the municipality of Murcia the construction and upgrading of 12 local cultural and social centers.

As the five new centers of Rincon de Seca, Barrio del Progreso, Lobosillo, and this Beniaján-Azacaya of Guadalupe, the major reforms of the social centers of El Palmar, El Llano de Brujas and Rane, the new auditorium and new Beniaján center of youth initiatives in El Palmar as well as the rehabilitation of the multifunctional Garcia Alix in Murcia and the new municipal center Churra initiatives.
