Local Police launches its own Rules of honors and awards (13/02/2011)

Local Police launches its own Rules of honors and distinctions with which certain members of the local police, institutions and individuals outside the body can be distinguished by their exceptional achievement or the relevant services for the general interests of citizens the municipality.

The regulation provides for four different awards:

a) Greeting personnel, public or private.

b) Cash prizes.

c) Police Merit Cross.

d) Police Merit Medal

Congratulations

Congratulations are intended to highlight the actions of those personnel of the local police that stands well the normal level in the line of duty or because of the risk that these measures behave or effectiveness of results, are deemed worthy.

Prize Money

Cash prizes are designed to reward the professional and dedicated service, the amount is established in each case.

Police Merit Cross

Police Merit Cross may be granted to distinctive patterns of red and white emblem.

- For the award of the Police Merit Cross with distinctive red, you will need to attend in the interest either of the following conditions:

- Participate in three or more services that act of intimidation alters assault weapons, without prejudice to the honor or negligence, incompetence or accident and was injured although the official

- Direct or conduct, in circumstances of danger to his person, an event dedicated or reveal a high value of official prestige to the Corporation or utility service.

- Observe behavior, without fully completing the requirements for the award of the Medal of Merit Police, deserves special reward, in consideration of the distinguished and extraordinary facts or the significance of the results obtained can be considered particularly relevant.

- For the award of the Police Merit Cross with white emblem will be interested to attend in any of the following conditions:

- Carry out any action which evidences a high sense of honor or loyalty, prestige or profit for the Corporation for the service.

- Excel in fulfilling the duties of his employment or office, or performing outstanding work or professional or scientific studies that result in the prestige of the Corporation or utility service.

- Perform any way not covered, distinguished acts of a similar nature that result in the Corporation's reputation or fitness for the service.

Police Merit Medal

Police Medal for Merit may be awarded in the categories of Gold and Silver.

- To grant the Gold or Silver Police Merit, as appropriate, will require those interested to attend in one of the following conditions:

- Be killed on duty or in connection therewith, without prejudice to the honor or negligence, incompetence or accident.

- Result with maiming or serious injury of the deformities that remain important and permanent disability, attending the same conditions as in the previous paragraph.

- Direct or perform a service of transcendental importance, which is in the prestige of the Corporation or the service, showing outstanding qualities of honor, loyalty and devotion.

- Have an extraordinary and exemplary performance, highlighted by his courage, ability or consistently effective in meeting important services, with the prestige of the Corporation or service.

Police Medal for Merit in Gold mode, shall include an award for life cash and payable in monthly fractions, equivalent to 20% of basic salary subject.

If awarded posthumously, the increase in life will be in favor of its beneficiaries, understanding that purpose, that its regulation will itself set for pensions for widows and orphans regulated in the General Social Security.

Police Merit Medal in silver form, shall include an award in cash and payable in monthly fractions equivalent to 15% under the same conditions as previously.

Police Merit Cross with distinctive red, carry with it a cash award for life, and payable monthly in fractions equivalent to 10% of basic salary subject.
