Will run until February 27 every weekend and gain an understanding of law, fire and first aid
Thirty-five people have started their training to become a Civil Defence volunteers.
The courses offered by the Department of Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, who heads Beatriz Hontoria are free and last 65 hours.
The classes have started this weekend and perform Saturday and Sunday, until 27 February, on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and evening, at the premises of Civil Protection in the Infant (along with local police and Fire Station).
Volunteers receive training in civil protection, legislation, dangerous goods, fire fighting, communications, first aid (theory and practice), mountain rescue, canine unit and mapping and guidance.
