Tourism offers a route to know the parties in the neighborhood of Santa Eulalia (03/02/2011)

The Department of Tourism, Maria Isabel Valcércel directing proposes, within the program 'Let Guide' a visit to learn about the traditions and festivals of the district of Santa Eulalia.

To celebrate the festival of the Candelaria and San Blas, possibly the oldest in Murcia, there will be a walk through this old neighborhood that has happened over time to be a medieval suburb to become a substantial part of the hull old city.

The church of Santa Eulalia is the main hub of the neighborhood.

Arab era was already in town, important archaeological sites include the city walls, houses and palaces, was also located in the Jewish neighborhood environment.

During the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries was the residence of the nobility and gentry, still remain witness to these noble houses along the streets, to become present, given the proximity of the University in a student area, with a proliferation of pubs, bars, restaurants at the same time they have proliferated and cultural museum spaces.

The route will take place on Saturday, February 5, after 10 hours.

The start of the tour is in the tourist information point in the square Belluga.
