The International Festival of Youth Orchestras turns 30 (01/02/2011)

The International Festival of Youth Orchestras, organized by the University of Murcia, this year marks the thirtieth edition, to be held from 11 to 16 April

This year the International Orchestra will direct the Jumillano Roque Baños, one of the best known Spanish composers, wrote the music for half a hundred films, among them the whole saga de Torrente, "Goya in Bordeaux", "Alatriste", "Cell 211 "and almost all production of Álex de la Iglesia.

Bathrooms are in possession of three Goya awards for the films "The Seventh Day" by Carlos Saura, "The Thirteen Roses", by Emilio Martínez Lázaro and "The Oxford Murders" by Álex de la Iglesia.

Next February 13 would increase this list as a candidate to the Goya 2011 for best original music for "trumpet Sad Ballad" by Álex de la Iglesia, with racing films like "Biutiful" or "Also rain. "

The international orchestra meets every year to the most important musicians of the orchestras involved in the Festival, which this time will perform works by Roque Baños film and symphony.

With XXX editions, the International Festival of Youth Orchestras is a unique event that, since the early 80's, met in the region of Murcia, on the eve of Easter, thousands of young musicians from many countries, strengthening partnerships between them and the fans of classical music Murcia.

The Festival of the University of Murcia has become part of the Spanish Association of Classical Music Festivals (FestClásica), a professional association that it brings together the most important music festivals held in our country, in different disciplines of early music, classical and contemporary, the first in the Region of Murcia to get it.
