The University of Murcia held tomorrow, day 28, the traditional academic ceremony on the occasion of the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, in which the professor of Social Anthropology Carmelo Lison Tolosana be awarded an honorary doctorate of this educational institution.
The rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho chair the academic procession, which will meet at 11:30 pm in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Campus Espinardo, to kick off the event.
During the same shall be the award of "Rector Antonio Soler Andrés" that calls the Academic Performance and Social Council, which this year has gone to the degree in Environmental Sciences Pallarés Susan Parraga.
In addition to this award, will receive their awards and Outstanding Thesis PhD for the academic year 2009-2010 and the Medals to Dedication University with honors those members of the institution that twenty five years of service.
The chancellor close with his speech act, which will be entertained with performances by the Chamber Orchestra and University Choir, which presents new for St. Thomas the launch of its new director, Jorge Losada.
