The City Council will continue to promote training and access to employment for people interested in working on the Corvera International Airport (27/01/2011)

The full City Council approved a motion in order to continue working with the Autonomous Community, to promote training and access to employment for people interested in working on the Corvera International Airport.

Councilmember Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, Beatriz Hontoria, recalled that the process for candidates to submit their curriculum has enjoyed full transparency and publicity, and priority is given to neighbors who are part of the parishes of Rural Development Plan (Corvera, Martínez del Puerto, Valladolises, etc).

Hontoria recalled that the Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, signed on 21 January an agreement with the President of the Regional Employment Service and Training, Constantine Sotoca, which regulates the basis for training, guidance and mediation of workers serve on the airfield.

Courses will be conducted that will train about a thousand unemployed in job profiles will require the future airport.

Of these, 575 will be hired and the rest will be made available to the concessionaire, Aeromur, to meet future needs.

The motion passed with the votes for the Popular Party, is:

Murcia City Council will continue to work, as it has done so far, in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service of the Autonomous Community (SEF) and assist in job placement and training of Murcia.

The good relationship between the city of Murcia and the Regional Government has made no citizen is excluded when information on the guidelines to follow to access training courses to qualify for a job at the International Airport Region Murcia, located in our town.
