Councillor for IU-Greens in Murcia, Esther Herguedas, asked in plenary next Thursday on the reasons why the council has not made the payment of grants to youth groups in the municipality for the fiscal year 2010.
According Herguedas, the city owes the aid granted to associations for the promotion of youth participation in the municipality, although the activities have been completed and paid.
"Even being asked and the propriety of the expenditure even though the call for aid itself provides that payment must be done before, a fact which of course does not mean that should make all necessary inspections and audits," he underlined.
He has also stated that this default "compromises the survival of these associations, because they are nonprofit organizations," which is aggravated "cases that have granted aid for the rental of its premises, nor would be perceived" .
