Fotoencuentros photographer chooses the Marina del Mar for exhibition in the municipal space
Fotoencuentros returns to its annual meeting in Space Molinos del Rio Stables.
In this edition, the protagonist of the exhibition is the photographer Marina del Mar out his view of the celebrations of their land, Almería, through their images.
The shows 'Brave New World', which will be open until Feb. 28, includes a total of 36 works, of which 26 are shown in stables and the rest room in Los Molinos del Río.
The photographs, taken at the Feria de Almería between 2006 and 2009, large format and printed in full color.
According to Pedro Salinas, curator of the exhibition, Marina del Mar show "acts and behavior that comprise the annual cycle of rituals and activities that are part of the cultural heritage of any community. Marina del Mar, in this work, documenting the exact content of such acts in Almeria holiday, everyday. "
Salinas added in the presentation of the exhibition that the artist is looking to the people, the people, not what is supposed to be the main attraction. That's one of the differential values of his work. In his images we see attitudes human and recognizable in any family or friends. Other us closer to what is happening, the customs and traditions that come from the global village. "
Marina del Mar (Almería, 1963) has over twenty years working as a photographer and regular contributor to publications like El Pais, El Mundo or Ideal.
He has also published to EXIT, the Country Weekly, Rolling Stone, The Sunday or Marie Claire.
