It is a recognition of advocacy of Murcia and turn the town into an important benchmark in the domestic market meeting

The Spanish Federation of Professional Congress Organisers OPC Spain, has awarded its prize in the category of local government body, to Murcia Convention Bureau of the Department of Tourism of the City, directed by Maria Isabel Valcarcel.

According to the organization of the award: "This award recognizes the work of promotion of Murcia and have managed to provide it with all the elements needed to be today an important reference point in the meeting market."

They have also highlighted the commitment and support to associations that promote the development of the sector, since the Convention Bureau is part of the OPC Mediterranean Partnership since 2002, and the OPC Association of Murcia, since its establishment in 2009.

The awards jury met in Elche on 9 December and the awards will be presented Feb. 11 in Elche coincide with the end of the XIV National Congress of OPC.
