The doctoral dissertation at the University of Murcia Marta Gómez Sainz has challenged "the prejudice or misconception that students with high intelligence displayed lower socio-emotional skills," according to the findings of this research.
The study, which has obtained excellent cum laude, indicates that "with regard to the relationship between creativity and intelligence levels, the data show that these students present their work and creative productions more elaborate, further improvement and organization. "
This thesis also said that students of high intelligence differ from medium and low in their awareness, openness and emotional stability.
They present "a more adaptable, better handling of stress, improved mood and greater development in their creative production."
This thesis, which was held at the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia, has been led by professors María Dolores Prieto and Mercedes Ferrando.
